At the time, I said this:
Imbroco blends delicate sounds with a crunchy indie-rock that’s not unlike Superchunk, or perhaps their former label mates Nada Surf. Not surprising, considering the band’s pedigree features members from Mineral, Pop Unknown, and The Impossibles. It’s not hard to imagine the powerhouse of “Sixty Six Thousand Miles an Hour” turning into a real powerhouse of emotion when played live. Cliches are played with and examined but never feel hackneyed, especially on “You’re My Lionkiller” and “Calm Your Fears.” A wonderful little EP, and here’s hoping they follow this up with another great record.
