The British institution known as Tindersticks decided that their 14th album, Distractions, should be a bit different. Indeed it is; of its seven songs, three are covers. The album’s second single, “Man Alone (Can’t Stop The Fadin’),” is radically different as well. It’s a pulsating, downright sensual eleven minute groove. Stuart Staples‘ sensual crooning adds to the quiet but sexy rhythm, but combined the whole thing feels positively dirty. In a good way, of course.
