To commemorate the 30th anniversary of their groundbreaking Hit Parade single-a-month project, The Wedding Present spent 2022 doing the same thing: releasing a new single each month. It was a highly rewarding concept, and HHBTM Records is releasing 24 Songs, a compilation of the songs from the series. There’s plenty of great, original material to be had here, and one of our favorites is the still-angsty-after-all-these-years romantic feast of “I Am Not Going To Fall In Love With You.” You don’t want to be on David Gedge‘s heart’s bad side, that’s for sure, because he’ll tell you exactly how he feels in song, and we wouldn’t want him any other way.
