Back in the 1980s, the country music scene was enthralled with the mother/daughter duo The Judds, and for good reason; mother Naomi and daughter Wynonna were a singing powerhouse with a warm and inviting vocal style and down-to-earth personalities. Their success came almost immediately, and between 1983 and 1990, their albums and singles were instant chart successes. They would come to a close in 1990, when mother Naomi had to retire from touring and performance due to health issues.
Their eighth single, “Rockin’ To The Rhythm Of The Rain,” was a catchy, upbeat number, and was their seventh number one hit. It’s a fun little piece of ear candy with a retro sound that was ubiquitous in 1986.
