3AM Eternal: Badfinger “Day After Day” (1971)

You’ll hardly find a more depressing rock and roll band than Badfinger. A band that had everything—a tight sound, talented songwriters, the blessings and support of rock and roll gods—but the dark realities of the music industry would literally prove fatal to this young band. Their tragic story is well-known, but “Day After Day,” their biggest hit, is a song of longing and pain from a soul who misses his lover, sung by the sadly cursed Pete Ham.
