n 2003, choreographer Merce Cunningham commissioned Sigur Rós and Radiohead to separately compose the music for a dance piece entitled Split Sides. Both bands were asked to create a soundscape about twenty minutes in length. Though Radiohead’s contribution has not seen official release, Sigur Rós released their contribution a year later, as the oddly titled three-piece single Ba Ba Ti Ki Di Do. The piece is the gentle, hushed Sigur Rós one expects, with a little more electricity thrown into the mix. As always unclassifiable, this unique piece is never less than blissfully sublime.
