We were saddened to learn last week of the passing of Mike “Gabby” Gaborno, the larger-than-life, flamboyant frontman of SoCal punk rockers Cadillac Tramps. In the early 1990s, they were one of the most hilarious bands one could see; Gaborno was all about having fun, and would often be as wild and crazy as possible on stage, simply to give the audience a great show. He would later form Manic Hispanic, a punk rock cover band who would turn traditional punk rock classics into songs related to Hispanic culture, retaining the messages of the songs for the community while dong so in a humorous way.
