About damn time dept: Cindy Wilson, The B-52’s blonde chanteuse is readying her solo debut album, Change. While it’s early days, the buzz is that Wilson isn’t wallowing in nostalgia; she’s going straight for modern, futuristic techno pop. Early taste “Mystic” proves the point; this is straight 21st Century pop groove from one of the women you didn’t know actually innovated this sound. I certainly cannot wait to hear more, as this is easily one of the best pop songs I’ve heard all year.
