Song Of The Day: The Primitives, “Rattle My Cage”

Coventry based indiepop band The Primitives are entering their third decade as the band, having come to the world’s attention with their international pop hit “Crash” in 1988. After breaking up in the early 1990s, the band returned and seemingly picked up where they left off, not losing a single beat and the nearly twenty years that passed between albums three and four. Arizona based punk label Emotional Response offers up a brand-new track from the band, taking from the fourth volume of their continuing all women compilation series, Typical Girls. “Rattle My Cage” is a punk rock stomper, with a catchy rhythm and unfuckwithable vocals from front woman Tracy Tracy. While we are not sure of the band’s future plans, this track shows that whatever they do will be awesome indeed.
