Benjamin Thomas Holton has been making dreamy, blissed-out music for nearly two decades. As a founding member of epic45, he developed a reputation of being a fine composer. He has been performing solo as My Autumn Empire, and has just released his fifth album, Oh, Leaking Universe. “Frost On My Shoes” is a gorgeous number that starts off with a hazy pace that recalls The Clientele, but soon gives way to a fantastic and addictive beat that sounds like Stereolab covering Felt. Yet it never loses its dreamy heart, and does what all the music should do: leave you wanting more.
