Last year, Tennessee ambient duo Hammock released Mysterium, a dark and dense album about death and flying into the void of nothingness. This year, they’re releasing a companion album, entitled Universalis. The theme of this album is flying out of the void of death and depression and back into the radiant sunlight of hope and life.”Cliffside” is their second single, and it’s a pure beauty; it is dark and stark yet twinkles of hope and optimism penetrate the darkness. It’s a gorgeous track to get lost in, and it is Hammock at their radiant best.
