The Ghost Of Christmas: E.B. The Younger, “Used To Be”

E.B. The Younger is the new solo project from Midlake frontman Eric Pulido, and while the debut album is not out for a few months, we’re quite excited about the new sound. If Midlake’s sound has been steeped in 1970s-era progressive and folk rock, “Used To Be” is the sound of the masters of the 70s making music in the 1980s MTV era. Think Grateful Dead and “Touch of Gray” or The Moody Blues and “Your Wildest Dreams.” The song has a delightful new wave rhythm that propels this song in a catchy way that makes you want to listen to it over and over again. That video? Just give it a watch. Eleventh–hour addition to the “Best Music Videos Of 2018” list? Could be, kid… could be…
