Brothers Jeff and Steven McDonald have been making delightful bubblegum–tinged punk rock for nearly four decades as Redd Kross, and they are still going strong. Naturally, such a long-lived life would result in archives filled with unreleased treasures, and a few years ago hey self released a collection of choice nuggets from the vault entitled Hot Issue. It quickly went out of print, but Merge Records saw fit to give it a wider release just in time for the holiday season. While nearly every track is a winner, we really fell in love with ”That Girl,” and hope you like it. If not, there are plenty more songs to choose from!
