British psychedelic rocker Joseph Cave is back with another new head trip, and this time it’s a fun ride into Middle Eastern waters. “Spiral” offers up swirling guitars and Arabian rhythms, before launching into a delightfully surreal narrative tale, highlighted nicely by Cave’s angelic schoolboy voice. We are told that this song is part of an ongoing track-by-track release building up to a new album, and while we’ve loved what we’ve heard before, this delightful number shakes things up a bit, only whetting our appetite further for what comes next.
