EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERE: Pluralone, “Fall From Grace”

Josh Klinghoffer has an impressive resume. Though his primary gig these days is as a member of Red Hot Chili Peppers, he’s also a well-respected studio musician and collaborator, notably working with former Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante (both as a solo act and with the power trio Ataxia with Joe Lally from Fugazi), as well as with notables ranging from that dog., Gnarls Barkley, Martina Topley-Bird, PJ Harvey, Gemma Haynes, as well as his own band Dot Hacker. Today we’re proud to present a track from To Be One With You, the debut album from his new project Pluralone, which is out November 22 via ORG Music.

To Be One With You is an album of sublime grace that does not hide from its dark side; a piano-based affair, it recalls the post-OK Computer Britpop style that was popular at the turn of the millennium. Klinghoffer’s enlisted friends from his journeys, including former Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Jack Irons, members of his band Dot Hacker, and Jane’s Addiction–the result of which is an album that offers ten beautiful moments of melancholy and grace.

About the track “Fall From Grace,” Klinghoffer had this to say: ‘“Fall from Grace” is one of those improvised songs that I spent ages trying to decipher and turn into something mildly coherent. Not sure if I succeeded, but I think I captured the initial spirit…I think.”

We think you did.
