Joe McAlinden is a veteran of the Scottish music scene. He was an original member of The Boy Hairdressers, a briefly-lived band that morphed into Teenage Fanclub. After they split, he joined Superstar, and his most recent project was the spirited indie-rock band Linden. In 2014, he composed a lengthy piece for a multimedia exhibit and performance. That composition makes up Edit, a dark and meditative piece. Consisting of six parts, Edit offers beauty and solace drenched in melancholy. “Edit 04” exemplifies this nature; a beautiful work of art that stands on its own.
