Happened upon this single very randomly while looking up something completely unrelated. Curiosity led me to Youtube, and I’m glad I did. Information about Buddy White & The Impellas is, well, nonexistent. All that I’ve been able to surmise is that Inca Records was located in Houston, and that Buddy White sounds really, really young. Other than that…nothing. Never mind that, though; this is teen vocal pop at its best, with a great horn section, not unlike Del Shannon‘s “Runaway.”
Any information about this mystery artist would be much appreciated!!!
PS: Here’s that flip-side. Okay…so it’s a bit of a winsome ballad…but I’ll let you make the call:
