Eddie Rabbitt was one of the better country singers of the late Seventies and Eighties. His songs, like “Every Which Way But Loose,” “Drivin’ My Life Away,” and “Two Dollars In The Jukebox,” were radio staples, and at the top of that list is “I Love A Rainy Night,” which came in 1980, and was one of many, many hits that he would score during the next decade.
You more than likely know this–or, at least, its catchy-as-heck repetitive chorus and its finger-snappy rhythm.. Okay, so we made fun of that repetition back in the 1980s, but there’s an innocent charm to the whole thing, one that keeps the song eternally fresh and enjoyable.
