Twilight Music: Piano Magic, “Halloween Boat” (1999)

Isn’t it always the way? You finish up a project or a series, and you invariably find something that would have been perfect had you known about it or remembered it. This would have worked wonderfully in my Hallowe’en series, but hey, whatever. C’est la vie, of course. This eighteen minute ambient piece by the mysterious masters of mood collectively known as Piano Magic stems from the b-side of a highly limited Darla Records series from the 1990s, the excellent and highly recommended Bliss Out series. Piano Magic’s entry, A Trick Of The Sea, was one of the series highlights, a delightful and delightfully intense soundscape that was very blissful indeed.
