Song Of The Day: Amusement Parks On Fire, “In Our Eyes”

Nottingham-based indie rockers/shoegazers/dream-popppers Amusement Parks On Fire were making waves in the mid-aughties yet seemingly disappeared in 2010, shortly after the release of their third album, Road Eyes. It was a shame, too; not only did the band garner a lot of positive press, their records were getting progressively more amazing as well. So an announcement a few weeks ago that they had signed to Saint Marie Records was quite thrilling. With this news came an announcement that they were reissuing an expanded version of that superb but criminally-underheard album. “In Our Eyes” is one of the album’s bonus tracks; taken from a limited-edition (and impossible to find) EP from 2009. It’s a great rocker that is reminiscent of Silversun Pickupsbut only in the best of ways; it’s a Modern Rock scorcher. Check it out below, and if you like it, support the band and label by preordering a vinyl or CD version of the reissue; it’s a great album, and a delightful record to tide you over until this Autumn’s new release.

Road Eyes (Deluxe) is available now via Saint Marie Records.
