All across the country, families will be sitting down to break bread, watch football, and spend time together. Of course, with the nastiness of this year’s political season, it’s a safe bet that some family gatherings will be more tense than others, while other family gatherings will be the annual occasion of family drama and strife. Sad, but true. “The Thanksgiving Filter” is perhaps the only song we know of that celebrates family life–dysfunctional as it may be–on this particular day, finding blessing in the midst of drama.
