We’ve been a fan of the music of Benoît Pioulard for quite some time now, enjoying the simple, almost naturalist drones and ambient compositions for what they are: simply beautiful music. His latest release is May, a four song EP dedicated to the month of May. Composer Thomas Meluch stated that he composed this music in January, thinking of warmer climates and of sunnier times, but as someone who lives in a very warm climate, I can appreciate the cool, cool nature of his music as a balm against heat and humidity. “Moss Detail” offers eight minutes of delightful, cool escape.
