Song Of The Day: Jason Lytle, “Color Of Dirt”

Things have been way too cheery as of late, so we need a little bit of autumnal melancholy. Jason Lytle is the right man for the job for bringing us thought-provoking, touching, and sad music. “Color of Dirt” is one of his most beautiful little offerings, just him on piano, a bumping washer and dryer in the back, and heartbreak in his voice. It’s beautiful, of course; in its simplicity, perfection. We’re always excited to hear new music from Jason Lytle, and this is no exception. Other two songs from Kyle Field and Kramies round out what they’ve dubbed the “3ingle,” but Lytle is the star here.
