Who doesn’t appreciate a clever and witty smart-ass singer and violinist? Andrew Bird has been that for nearly twenty-five years, and he shows no sign of stopping. The first taste of his new album, My Finest Work Yet, is a delightful, whistle–driven Spaghetti Western theme in search of a soundtrack score. If the song wasn’t delightful enough, just pay attention to the video and enjoy a chuckle or two. And yet there’s no humblebrag in that title; “Sisyphus” truly is some of Bird’s best work yet.
