Song Of The Day: Marissa Nadler & Stephen Brodsky, “For The Sun”

The meeting of dark folk musician Marissa Nadler and melodic metal noise master Stephen Brodsky is a promising enough collaboration on paper. “For The Sun,” the first taste from their collaborative debut Droneflower, certainly meets all our  anticipatory expectations. Nadler sings a breathy and dreamy siren song comparing her longing to/for the destruction of our solar system. To which I say, “I’m in.” Looking forward to hearing how Brodsky fits into the scheme of things–we love his voice and his songwriting–but we certainly do not expect to be disappointed.
