A perusal of the YouTube “recommended” algorithm landed us this beauty of a pop song, from a young London-based pop band named ALASKALASKA. They’ve just released their debut album, The Dots, and while we don’t know too much about it, we do know we love the sweet, intoxicating voice of vocalist Lucinda Duarte-Holman, who coos with the same sort of gentleness and wisdom as Tracyanne Campbell. The jazzy/new wave groove behind her is quite intoxicating as well, and “Happyface” is such a delightful way to start off the new week. Enjoy!
