Okay, confession time: I heard this song at Starbucks, and I liked it. I’m not one to go for “guilty pleasures”–you should like what you like without embarrassment–but I must admit I haven’t kept up with Silversun Pickups, nor would I call myself a fan. But I did like their single “Panic Switch,” and was surprised to hear this number was them. It’s a soulful rock number, but with a nice little acoustic blues flourish. It’s an interesting song, to be sure, and it has piqued my curiosity about their forthcoming album, Widow’s Weeds, which arrives next month.
