It’s been nearly thirty years since Sean O’Hagan‘s last proper solo album–and that album bore the title of High Llamas, which would become the moniker of his main gig for the next two decades–but he is back with a new album entitled Radum Calls, Radum Calls, out this October on Drag City. From the first single, “On A Lonely Day (Ding, Dong),” we can deduce that he hasn’t changed his formula one iota–part lounge music, part Beach Boys, part gorgeous dreamy melody–and we’re quite happy about that. “On A Lonely Day” is the perfect anthem for the end of summer and the coming of autumn.
