We’re always a bit on-again/off-again with our relationship with Wilco. We generally respect the brilliant creativity of Jeff Tweedy and his crew of musicians, but we must admit that we sometimes find their albums a bit fungible. We’re not feeling so ambivalent about the gorgeous new single from their forthcoming album, Ode To Joy--a record which has been touted as a return to their hard folk roots. Well, I’m not so sure about that, but “Love Is Everywhere (Beware)” is a dreamy, mellow easy country-rocker that we’ve been listening on repeat quite a bit, and we’re suddenly a bit more anticipatory about Ode To Joy.
