These times are most certainly challenging and trying, and ambient composer Emily A. Sprague is no exception. So during the first week of the quarantine, she did what every good artist does during periods of confusion, isolation, and uncertainty: she created. She recorded a handful of gentle instrumentals meant to soothe the soul and ease the anxiety of the world. Released last week, Hill, Flower, Fog is indeed a balm for trying times. The whole EP is utterly gorgeous, but we’re particularly fond of the final track, the epic, unhurried “Mirror.”
Give it a listen and you’ll understand why.
