We have much to say about Kevin Rowland‘s 1999 solo album, My Beauty. Cherry Red reissues the album this month, and we’ll be giving it our undivided attention soon. But to promote the album, they commissioned a video for Rowland’s fantastic take on The Four Seasons‘ cover of this fine Bob Crewe composition. In the video, the song expands on the (unfortunate) slaughter the album faced due to its controversial cover. To make it more poignant, a tie-in to the modern pride movement makes the song the anthem it should have been.
