The Lennon/McCartney writing team had a wonderful backlog of songs they’d written, and so when worldwide success came, there were plenty of songs to share with other bands and musicians. Some were hits, some weren’t. One that’s a bit more obscure in that category is “One And One Is Two,” written by Paul, and given to a group called The Strangers With Mike Shannon. What we have here is a demo version–scratchy, poor sound quality, bootleg, of course–but it makes the song quite charming, don’t you think?
