Song Of The Day: The Human League, “You Remind Me Of Gold”

Celebrating nearly forty years as a band, Sheffield-based electronic music pioneers The Human League are releasing The Human League: A Very British Synthesizer Group. This two-disc collection (also available in expanded four-disc deluxe edition) spans the band’s history, offering up a fine career retrospective featuring all of the hits and a few rarities and b-sides as well. One such offering is “You Remind Me Of Gold,” taken from the b-side of their 1982 single, “Mirror Man.” It’s a fine, dark dance number in its own right, and is perhaps a better number than its soulful but slightly flat A-side.

The Human League: A Very British Synthesizer Group is released 18 November 2016 via UMe.
