Though he’s been playing and releasing music for nearly twenty years, I’ve not happened upon the music of Korby Lenker, singer, songwriter, and author. That said, I’ve quickly grown fond of his latest album, Thousand Springs, an affable, enjoyable album of well-crafted pop and rock songs with just a hint of Americana and Folk Rock. Enlisting all of his friends in locations all across America, and the songs radiate with a lushness that is rare these days. I’m fond of most every song found here, but I’m partial to the cool cooing and breezy seriousness of the lovely love song “Stormy Seas,” which has an Elliott Smith vibe I really like.
