The legendary singer/songwriter Tim Buckley died suddenly and unexpectedly in 1974 and left behind a legacy of fine albums and talked-about live performances, only a handful of which were recorded. On August 25th, Edsel Records will release Buzzin’ Fly: Live Anthology 1968-1973, which gathers all of Buckley’s officially-released live albums in one handy, remastered sound. One of my favorites is Blue Afternoon‘s “Blue Melody,” here recorded live at the Troubadour in Los Angeles in 1969.
