Song Of The Day: Eisley, “A Song For The Birds”

Last year we had a delightful chat with Eisley front woman Sherri DuPree-Bemis about her most recent album, I’m Only Dreaming. Now, a year later, they have released I’m Only Dreaming…Of Days Long Past, an alternate version of the album, one that offers a stripped down and more lushly arranged take. This reimagining is most welcome; if anything, I song like lead single “A Song For The Birds” shows why in the future this sort of sound should be the rule, and not the exception. This is gorgeous, exceptional orchestral acoustic pop, and DuPree-Bemis sounds perfectly at home in such a beautiful arrangement.
