Song Of The Day: Buxton, “Jan”

We were subsequently impressed by Houston, Texas band Buxton‘s dreamy debut single from their forthcoming album Stay Out Late, that we instantly put them on our radar. Today they have released the second single from that album, a delightful late summer/early fall rocker entitled, “Jan.” much has been made of front man Sergio Trevino‘s newfound love of British pop group Talk Talk‘s album Laughing Stock. While that influence may have been heard on their previous single, “Jan” is pure alt.country pop taken straight from Wilco‘s recipe book for Summerteeth. In other words, it’s a very catchy easy rocker that only grows more charming and delightful with each successive listen. We’re proud to present that to you today, and we hope you enjoy it enough that it sends you straight to the preorder link, which can be found here.
