Song Of The Day: Holly Herndon & Jlin (feat. Spawn), “Godmother”

Okay, so this may not be some people’s cup of tea, but I happen to like it. 4AD Records’ experimental artist Holly Herndon released a fantastically weird new video shortly before Christmas break, and the best way to describe it is: video produced by Richard D. James, music provided by my car’s failing alternator. What makes this song so great is it’s collaborative spirit with electronica artist Jlin and an enigmatic new musical creating entity known only as “Spawn.” We don’t know what they have planned for the new year yet, but this track definitely has us intrigued!
