We will always find the time for Anton Newcombe in his band The Brian Jonestown Massacre, because his music is so consistently and reliably excellent. Furthermore, he’s not afraid to experiment here and there with different sounds in the mix. So it’s quite nice to hear his newest single, “Cannot Be Saved,” which finds the band getting back to basics with a straightforward, no-frills rocker. The song comes from their forthcoming self-titled album that’s due this March, and this raw little number has definitely whet our appetite for more.
