Although we didn’t feel that All About Money, the lone release by 1980s hip-hop duo Spontaneous Overthrow was quite the exciting and weird experimental discovery that its bio described it, we did enjoy it for for what it was–the sound of two young men trying something new with a new genre of music. We were absolutely charmed by the slinky, angular title track, complete with sound effects, quirky rhythm, and a peculiar groove that simply can’t be denied.
