Jad Fair has been trading as Half Japanese for the past four decades, and not only does he have no intention of stopping, he’s not lost his edge, either. For their forthcoming album, Fair is quite willing to get political, as the scathing “The Puppet People” wonderfully illustrates. It’s an attack on you know who, people who are not nice. Half Japanese are nice people. They make nice music. So you need to listen to what they have to say.
