Song Of The Day: Anni Hogan featuring Gavin Friday, “Angels Of Romance”

We’ve been waiting for this one for quite a while, and it’s worth the wait. British pianist and composer Anni Hogan may best be known for her associations with Marc Almond, but she has had a very impressive career that includes collaborations and session work with an impressive array of underground musicians, as well as her own solo work. Lost In Blue, her forthcoming solo album, was produced by Soft Cell‘s David Ball and features an impressive array of her friends including Kid Congo Powers, Lydia Lunch, Wolfgang Flür, and Gavin Friday, who features on the beautifully melancholic “Angels Of Romance.” The video for this gorgeous song is a dreamy and slightly surreal adventure through a city’s lonely streets, and is a gorgeous visual accompaniment.
