Last week, we got kinda waylaid by work and allergies, so let’s kick this week off on a high, fun note, shall we? “Messenger” is a brand new single from Pylon Reenactment Society, the project fronted by former Pylon front woman Vanessa Briscoe Hay, which seeks to keep the name of the influential Athens-based post-punk band alive. “Messenger” is a new song and it’s a fantastic slab of wax all around; with a bass line and booty-shaking beat that definitely stems from the band’s early days, this is no mere reenactment; this is the real deal. Here’s looking forward to hopefully a full length of equally delightful groovers!
