Song Of The Day: Boyracer, “I’ve Got It (And It’s Not Worth Having)”

Crunchy punk band Boyracer have been active since 1992, and their visionary Stewart Anderson is a punk rock lifer who has kept the lo-fi punk rock torch burning via his excellent label Emotional Response. This year he has delved into his Sarah Records background and is bringing the name back to life courtesy of a handful of reissues. His entry into the archives is a compilation of his band’s Sarah releases entitled Fling Yr Bonnet Over The Windmill. Unlike most of his label mates, Anderson specialized in no-frills punk rock, and while nearly every song from these singles can be called a keeper, I’ve always been particularly fond of “I’ve Got It (And Its Not Worth Having),” taken from the B Is For Boyracer EP.
