Song Of The Day: Cows, “Finished Again”

One of the most underrated noise-rock bands of the 1990s was Minneapolis’ Cows. Their trumpet-laden rock was made even more wonderful by their outrageous, insane live performance styles and the often creative sharpie artwork of frontman Shannon Selberg. Their final album, Sorry In Pig Minor, came at both the end of the band and the end of their label, Amphetamine Reptile, and the excellent effort got lost in the shuffle of worlds ending. But the record has a new lease on life, thanks to the ongoing reissue treatment AmRep have been giving the band over the past few years. “Finished Again” has been given a fresh new video, and twenty years later the music still sounds as potent as it did two decades ago.
